NEW YORK, NY - On Wednesday, March 7, four-time New York Golden Gloves Champion, Will “Power” Rosinsky (14-1, 8KO’s) will be returning to where he made his professional debut when he takes on Zane “The Train” Marks (17-6, 10KO’s) in the co-feature bout on the latest installment of DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series at BB King Blues Club and Grill in midtown Manhattan. Rosinsky-Marks is scheduled for eight rounds in the light heavyweight division. Headlining the card will be undefeated welterweight prospect Alex Perez (15-0, 9KO’s) taking on former NABF junior welterweight champion Francisco “El Gato” Figueroa (20-3-1, 13KO’s). CHICAGO, February 24, 2012 – Strains of “The joy of the Lord is my strength” ushered in his entrance before an estimated 4,500 at the UIC Pavilion, but with his tearful raising of hands to heaven from his knees afterwards, he might as well have just witnessed Jesus’ miraculous feeding of the 5,000 with a couple fishes and loaves. Edner Cherry was sternly tested in what had appeared to be a routine stop en route to another run at a world title.
He had stepped up a weight class in 2008 and went the distance with World Boxing Council junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (who faces superstar Manny Pacquiao in June). Since then, he’d dispatched his last five opponents inside the distance (the last one, versus Eric Aiken in September, was ruled “no contest” because Cherry hit him after the bell and Aiken couldn’t continue). Now facing him was a relative neophyte with only two knockouts to his resume. He was going to steamroll him. (continue reading…)
Wright, Littleton, Ortuz, Bustamante & Tate Fetured on Undercard at Windy City Fight Night 21 Tonight!

CHICAGO — Headlining tonight’s undercard at Windy City Fight Night 21 are two former Chicago Golden Gloves winners, light heavyweight Junior Wright and super middleweight Paul Littleton.
Evanston born and raised, the 25-year-old Wright has made very quick work of his first two opponents in the pro ranks, stunning crowds in attendance with his knockout power resulting in first round stoppages.
Scheduled for four rounds, Wright, 2-0-0 (2KO’s), will clash with Michigan’s Rogelio Saldana, 1-1-0 (1KO), on the undercard of Windy City Fight Night 21. The 22 year old Saldana scored a first round stoppage of his own on November 5th. (continue reading…)
