Adrian Granados Added to ‘Windy City Fight Night 20′ at UIC Pavilion Friday, Dec. 16th!

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago fan favorite and sensational junior welterweight prospect Adrian “EL Tigre” Granados has been added to Windy City Fight Night 20 set for Friday, December 16th at the UIC Pavilion, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

The 22 year old Granados, 6-1-1- (3KO’s), suffered the first loss in his professional career against Los Angeles based Frankie Gomez on August 26th at the UIC Pavilion. In a bout broadcast on Univision’s popular Friday night boxing series, SOLO BOXEO, Granados and Gomez battled evenly over eight rounds with a very close majority decision win being awarded to Gomez.

“First off we’re thrilled to have Adrian return on our huge year end show on December 16th. His fight against Gomez proved once again that Adrian can compete against world class competition and has the potential to be a future world champion” said Pesoli.

“Right after the fight I fielded calls from the biggest promoters in boxing who were very impressed to see Adrian fight for the first time. 2012 will be a big year for Adrian and he’s going to start early on December 16th for his huge, loud and proud legion of fans here in Chicago.”

Windy City Fight Night 20 is headlined by a light heavyweight clash between “The Polish Prince” Andrzej Fonfara of Chicago and Minneapolis, Minnesota native Phil “The Drill” Williams in a scheduled ten round bout.

Advance tickets priced at $76, $51, $36 and $31 can be purchased through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com), the UIC Pavilion Boxing Office (312-413-5740) or the 8 Count Productions Office (312-226-5800). Doors on the evening of the event will open at 7pm with the first bell at 8pm.
