ORLANDO, FL — Former IBF world light heavyweight title challenger, Connecticut Boxing Hall Of Fame member and current trainer “Iceman” John Scully, formerly of Windsor, Connecticut and now living and training boxers in Orlando, Florida will lead four boxers into battle on the big June 6, 2014 Professional Boxing Card to be held at the Orlando Live Events Center (situated in the Orlando Jai-Alai).

Formerly the head trainer for the likes of world champions “Bad” Chad Dawson, Jose Antonio Rivera, Mike Machine Gun” Oliver and Elizabeth Mueller, as well as world ranked contenders such as Scottie “The Sandman” Pemberton, Lawrence Clay-Bey and “Sucra” Ray Oliviera, Scully will take a new group of eager pugilists into battle this weekend.

“Phenomenal” Philip Penson of Orlando, (7-0-1) with his career being guided by high profile Stan Hoffman of New York, is pitted against undefeated (2-0-0) Paul Marfort, also of Orlando, in a six round middleweight match. Penson is a former two-time Ringside National Amateur Champion at 165 pounds who holds amateur victories over current middleweight contender J’Leon Love and 2012 U.S. Olympian Terrel Gausha.

Craig “Danger” Duncan of Apopka, Florida, with a record of 3-0-0 with 3 knockouts, is a big punching light heavyweight who scored 46 wins in 50 amateur fights before going pro in March of last year. Hhe matches up with Jacksonville, Florida’s Harold Smith.

“Money” Mike Sawyer, a super middleweight with a record of 6-3-0 and scheduled to meet Charleston, South Carolina’s Shaun Spaid in a 4 round match, is also the owner of the UFC gym in Winter Springs, Florida where Scully works and trains him and his other boxers at.

Jonathon “Fafa” Perez, the 5-0-0 welterweight originally from Puerto Rico who Scully trained in Hartford, Connecticut before moving to Florida last summer, will once again have the Iceman in his corner as he goes in against well regarded Florida upstart Clarence Booth (7-1-0 with 5 knockouts) of Tampa.

Former WBO Junior Middleweight Champion Bronco McKart will be in attendance as a guest of John Scully.

Orlando area middleweight prospect Moises Carrasquillo Jr (4-0-0 with 3 knockouts) will see action in the Main Event of the evening against Timothy Hall Jr. (8-16-0 with 5 knockouts) while Amos “2 Smooth” Cowart (8-0-1) will also see action on Friday night in a welterweight match up against Joseph Fernandez.

Welterweight Miguel Cruz (4-0-0 with 3 knockouts) and Junior Middleweight Robbie Burwell (5-0-0 with 2 knockouts vs. Jacinto Quintana) will also see action in what promises to be one of the top boxing shows ever in Central Florida!!!

Orlando Super featherweight Christian Camacho, son of the legend, Hector “Macho” Camacho, will also see action along with fellow Florida prospects lightweight Antonio Ojeda and lightweight Jose “Lil Pacquio” Resendiz.
