The Pacific Northwest’s top Super Middleweight prospect Mike Gavronski has been added to the June 26th line-up at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, Washington. Gavronski will be part of the non-televised undercard of the Showtime ShoBox triple header promoted by TGB Promotions.

The card will be headlined by unbeaten Middleweight prospect Dominick Wade (17-0, 12KOs) taking on former IBF Middleweight Champion Sam Soliman (44-12, 1NC, 18KO’s) and is already stacked with a dozen fights featuring a number of boxing’s promising up and comers, but the addition of Gavronski will be of particular interest to local Northwest fight fans. The once beaten Tacoma native has built a following over the past few years and a number of them can be expected to make the short forty-five minute trek from the Seattle-Tacoma area to Shelton to support their fighter.

Gavronski (18-1-1, 12 KO’s) has been on a four fight win streak since suffering his only loss at the hands of top Middleweight contender Tureano Johnson in July of 2011. All four of those wins have come in his hometown of Tacoma, including his most recent fight on May 30th in which he knocked out former rival Tyrell Hendrix in the ninth round. No opponent has been named for Gavronski yet, but he is expected to fight in a scheduled six rounder at the 168lbs. limit.

Northwest journeyman heavyweight Sylvester “Doc” Barron (8-5, 3 KO’s) will also be on the card. Barron, of Anacortes, Washington, will take on undefeated prospect John Wesley Nofire (17-0, 13 KO’s). Nofire, of Oklahoma, has scored his last two wins via stoppage. They will fight in a scheduled 4 round bout.

The televised main event will feature an interesting match-up between fast-rising, undefeated prospect Dominick Wade facing the toughest challenge of his career in former world title holder Sam Soliman. Wade’s last fight was, coincidentally, at the Little Creek Casino last December when he knocked out local fighter Eddie Hunter in the second round of an exciting fight. The aggressive power punching Wade has gone 6-0 with 4 KO’s since taking a two year lay-off in 2011.

For well-known Australian veteran fighter Sam Soliman, this fight will mark the first time he steps back into the ring since losing his IBF World title at the hands of Jermain Taylor in October of last year. The forty-one year old Soliman has been fighting as a pro since 1997 and has amassed a wealth of experience at the world-class level. This fight will represent a prime opportunity to put him back into the world title picture.

Rounding out the televised triple header will be the quick-fisted and unbeaten Erickson Lubin (10-0, 7 KO’s), of Orlando facing off with San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Eliezer Gonzalez (14-1, 9KO’s), and former 2012 Olympic team captain Jamel Herring (11-0, 7 KO’s) taking on Guadalajara, Mexico’s Oscar Cortez (25-2, 13 KO’s). Both bouts are scheduled for ten rounds.

Omar Chavez (32-3-1, 22 KO’s), the son of living legend Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr., is also slated to see action as part of the non-televised undercard. Chavez will meet tough Albuquerque gate-keeper Hector Munoz (22-14-1, 14 KO’s) in a ten round middleweight match-up.

Thirteen total fights are expected on the card.

Tickets to the event can be purchased at or by calling 1-800-667-7711. The doors to the event are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. with the first fight to begin at 6 p.m. The Showtime broadcast is set to start at 7:35 ET/PT. The Little Creek Casino is located at 91 West State Route 108, Shelton, Washington 98584, 90 minutes north of Portland and 45 minutes south of Seattle.
