Scott loved the sport of boxing. At the age of 10 my father took Scott, and my brother Rocky, to the Lake Street Gym in Minneapolis to get a taste of the sport. My father – Samuel J. Papasodora Sr, also was a boxer during WW2, while in the Navy. Scott excelled
and went on to win several title’s during his career.
It was hard to fight a southpaw, and he usually ended his fight with a knockout.I believe Scott’s most rewarding fight was with Benitez. Scott got the call from a Winnepeg promoter, asking him if he would be willing to fight legend Wilfred Benitez. It was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Scott was excited at the chance to fight someone of “Benitez reputation.” I remember reading an article – a boxer working as a blue collar worker in his hometown getting the chance to fight a three time world champion. It was more like a seen out of a Rocky movie. But in this case it was real. How can we let go of a man so worthy of love for his family. Scott you alway’s gave so endlessly and expecting nothing in return. Your soul lives on in heaven, In memory & forever in our hearts. We love you Scott, and we miss you so much!

    Love Your Family
