LOS ANGELES, September 10, 2016 — Number one Pound-for-Pound Fighter in the World and WBC Flyweight World Champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, won a 12-round unanimous decision over Carlos Cuadras to capture the WBC Super Flyweight World Title, Saturday, September 10 at The Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES, CA — For the seventh time, Boxing Superstar and Unified Middleweight World Champion, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin has been named the World Boxing Association’s “Fighter of the Month”, for April 2016.
On April 23, 2016 in front of a sold-out crowd of 16,353 at The Fabulous Forum and a televised audience of millions worldwide, Golovkin knocked out undefeated mandatory challenger Dominic Wade in the second round.
The knockout was Golovkin’s 22nd consecutive and the 16th straight world title defense of his WBA Middleweight Championship, originally won with a first round knockout of Milton Nunez on August 14, 2010.
Said Golovkin, “This is a great honor for me and I’m very thankful to Gilberto Mendoza Jr. and the WBA for this.”
This past Saturday night, May 7th, Golovkin was ringside in Las Vegas for the WBC Middleweight World Title bout between Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan. Holder of the WBC “Interim” Middleweight Title, Golovkin is the mandatory challenger for Alvarez who won by impressive sixth round stoppage.

LOS ANGELES, CA, April, 23, 2016 — Reigning Middleweight king and kayo artist Gennady “GGG” Golovkin extended his consecutive knockout streak to 22 while simultaneously making the 16th defense of his middleweight title. Gennady’s challenger, undefeated Dominic Wade, was given opportunities to provide a “big drama show”, but it did little to prevent his quick and utter destruction in less than 2 rounds of boxing. The fans were out in full force in an announced crowd of around 17,000. I was in attendance as well so please read along as I give my firsthand impression of Triple G’s latest fistic conquest.
Dominic Wade (18-0, 12 Kos) of Largo, Maryland, is assembled with his entourage near the tunnel leading from the dressing room and the crowd lets him know who they are here for by showering the arena with thousands of boos. The timelessly famous song, “1999”, from the recently deceased artist “Prince” pumps through the arena while Wade makes his walk to the ring.
