Top Mexican Prospects Featured on HBO Plus/Telefutura

LOS ANGELES, December 1, 2010 – On Friday, December 3, boxing fans will be treated to a doubleheader featuring two of Mexico’s top rising stars as Gilberto Gonzalez and Marco Antonio Periban as well as Paramount, California sensation Charles Huerta will see action in separate fights at the University of Guadalajara Olympic Coliseum in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

In the main event, lightweight Gonzalez meets Obregon City’s Noe Bolaños in a 10 round lightweight bout, while super middleweight prospect Periban will fight in an eight round co-feature against veteran Darnell Boone of Atlanta, Georgia.  Opening this tripleheader will be an eight-round featherweight bout pitting Huerta against Guasave’s Arturo Camargo. Sergey Kovalev Remains Undefeated with Split Decision Over Darnell Boone

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, October 12, 2010 — This past Saturday night in Atlanta, Light Heavyweight sensation Sergey Kovalev ran his record to a perfect 10-0 with 9 KO’s as he was taken the distance for the first time in his career and scored an eight round decision over veteran upset specialist Darnell Boone.

Reynaldo Lopez Scores Shocking Eighty-One Second Knockout to Win New York State Super Bantam Crown in Brooklyn

Lopez, Stark Jr., Collado, Ruiz and Mejias Score Victories; Caminero Scores Upset and Allen-Boone Ends in a Draw at Aviator Sports Center in Brooklyn, NY

BROOKLYN, NY, August 9, 2010 — It was a terrific night of boxing that saw explosive knockouts and bizarre finishes at the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn that was capped off by former world title challenger, Reynaldo Lopez dropping for Bantamweight champion Mauricio Martinez three times in eighty-one seconds to capture the New York State Bantamweight championship.

After a slight delay before the main event, Lopez made up for last time as he dropped Martinez just seconds into the bout.  Martinez was never in the bout as he was on wobbly legs before being dropped for a second time.  Lopez finished the deal off with a booming over left that had Martinez plummet to the canvas as he banged his head on the canvas.  Martinez was down for several minutes before regaining his feet and being helped to the stool.
