CHICAGO — Dominic Pesoli, the former President of Chicago-based 8 Count Productions, and the Windy City’s top promoter, accepted the position after a long and healthy business relationship with Warriors, partnering up on some of the city’s biggest boxing shows in many decades.

“Dominic has been a trusted advisor and business collaborator of Luis DeCubas and I for many years and I’m thrilled to add him to Warriors’ expanding team.” said Leon Margules. “Together we revived Chicago boxing and have made the UIC Pavilion a Midwest hotspot for big-time boxing.” (continue reading…)

CHICAGO, October 30, 2014 — On a cold October morning, floor trader Rick Ramos (who owns Body Shot Boxing Club) brought light heavyweight contender Andrezej Fonfara and undefeated lightweight Jose Felix Quezada to visit the Chicago Board of Options Exchange, where Ramos works as a floor trader.  Fonfara (25-3, 15 knockouts), who dropped and gave WBC Light Heavyweight Champion Adonis Stevenson a rugged challenge in losing a 12 round decision last May, will face Dou Dou Ngumbu (33-5, 12 knockouts), while Quezada (3-0, 2 knockouts) faces Rick Hall (3-6-2, 2 knockouts) this Saturday at the UIC Pavilion in downtown Chicago.   (continue reading…)

CHICAGO — Despite rumors and innuendo to the contrary, Chicago-based promoter Dominic Pesoli of 8 Count Productions and IBF #1, WBO #2 and WBC #7-ranked light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara have no other intentions than to continue working together.

“I am with Dominic Pesoli and 8 Count Productions. I have always been with 8 Count Productions and I will continue with them for the foreseeable future,” said Fonfara. (continue reading…)

Responding to rampant speculation over who will appear in their historic August 16 boxing event at the Chicago White Sox’ U.S. Cellular Field stadium, Chicago-based boxing promoter Dominic Pesoli and his partners, Frank Mugnolo of Round 3 Productions and Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing, say fans are going to have to wait.

“We don’t know who is on the show. We know it’ll be incredible and we’re working on several blockbuster match-ups, but it’s still very much in the air,” said Dominic Pesoli. (continue reading…)

CHICAGO, July 13, 2012 – The last time Andrzej Fonfara fought on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights, he was stopped inside two rounds. That was four years and two days ago, to be precise, at the Aragon Ballroom, and his opponent was Derrick Findley, a squat and muscular, hard-slugging brawler.

Six foot-two and 160 lbs. back then, Fonfara looked like a spindly fawn trying to fend off a hungry bulldog with quick, sharp pokes from its left forepaw. He was surprisingly effective until the roof crashed down on him in the second. (continue reading…)
