CHICAGO — it was an inauspicious start, but oh what a ride — and, at times, what a heartache — it has been.

‘Iceman’ John Scully Interviews Former WBC Light Heavyweight Champ, Montell Griffin

LAS VEGAS — I had always planned to interview Montell Griffin at some point in order to ask him about his relationship with the legendary trainer, Mr. Eddie Futch and when we both ended up in Las Vegas on May 2nd for Mayweather-Pacman I decided to do an on-the-spot video interview with him.

As often the case with great trainers, people often automatically name certain guys as their “best trainer ever” choice without even really having any idea as to why they are saying it. It’s like they just read it somewhere and then repeat it just to sound boxing-intelligent.
