HOUSTON, TX, July 11, 2010 — It was an enjoyable evening for Bayou City boxing fans this past Friday evening at the Humble Convention Center as the Joe Dumas and H.I.T. Gym promoted “Rumble in Humble” produced fistic fireworks, chilling knockouts, and good ring action for all of those in attendance. In the Main Event, Texas Heavyweight Champion “Mean” Gene Hill improved to 21-1, 16 KO’s as he won a unanimous and wide points victory over defensive minded Andrew Greeley in a six round fight that was a carbon copy of their first go around several months back.
Hill was frustrated in his efforts to land the big knockout blow, but won every round as he did the vast majority of the punching, and now has his sights set on bigger names in the division. Eleazar “Pelon” Renteria won a unanimous verdict over Jerron Lockette in a lightweight enounter that saw Renteria do the more effective punching, and heavyweight bomber Darlington “Cheek” Agha floored southpaw Douglas Robertson twice before finishing him off with a barrage of shots to score a TKO win in the 3rd stanza, upping his slate to 4-0, winning all by KO.
