TACOMA, WA — In the headline bout of the 96th installment of Brian Halquist Production’s Battle at the Boat at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington, Brooklyn based Ghanaian Emmanuel Lartey took a ten round unanimous decision victory over Northwest favorite Steve Forbes.

Lartey, who was once a highly touted prospect, was coming off two straight losses and looking to resurge his career momentum. Forbes, a native of Portland, Oregon and former world champion, for his part was coming off of four straight losses and a lengthy hiatus. The bout was certainly a crossroads fight with both fighters needing a victory. (continue reading…)
