PANAMA CITY, PANAMA, July 6, 2015 – K2 Promotions and Hennessy Sports reached an agreement today prior to the scheduled World Boxing Association purse bid for the highly anticipated Heavyweight World Championship between long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko and #1 ranked challenger Tyson Fury.

“We’re very happy to reach an agreement with Hennessy Sports for this great heavyweight title matchup,” said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, promoter of Klitschko. “The fight will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany on Saturday, October 24.” (continue reading…)

NEW YORK CITY — On February 4th, New York City (February 4, 2015) IBF/WBA/WBO/IBO and “The Ring Magazine” World Heavyweight Champion WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO and top rated challenger BRYANT JENNINGS along with their respective teams held the Kick-Off Press conference for their highly anticipated battle set for Saturday, April 25 at Madison Square Garden, “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”

Wladimir Klitschko is a large man. Ask every one of his previous opponents about the complexities involved in fighting the best heavyweight boxer in the world and you’d be hard-pressed to come across an answer that doesn’t revolve around his size.

On November 10, 2012, Wladimir’s dimensions will be expanded into the night, cold sky. Literally. Courtesy of EPIX, a Jumbotron in Times Square will broadcast the number-one ranked heavyweight’s bout versus Poland’s Mariusz Wach (27-0 15 KO), a battle in which, for the first time in the Ukrainian’s professional career, he will be the smaller man. WBA Champion Haye Warns He’s Done with the Klitschkos Following Latest U-Turn

January 5, 2011 – WBA world heavyweight champion David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye has brandished rival titleholder Wladimir Klitschko a ‘coward’, following the Ukrainian’s decision not to unify the belts in a 2011 showdown.

A bout between IBF and WBO kingpin Klitschko and Haye appeared close to completion earlier this week, but Wladimir instead decided to announce an April 30 defence against Britain’s Dereck Chisora on Wednesday. (continue reading…)
