Jack defeated such men as Johnny Dundee, Rocky Kansas, Jimmy Goodrich, Ray Miller, Solly Seeman, Cuddy DeMarco, Tony Caponi, Tony Russo, Jack Zivic, Pal Moran, Luis Vicentini, Billy DeFoe, Young Britton, John Darcy, Babe Herman and Young Fulton

Bernstein was inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2000
