Lynch was a warrior - plain and simply - a fighting machine; He came to "get it on"; Benny was good on the defense too - blocking, rolling, ducking, bending, weaving; He lost only 12 of 108 bouts and scored 34 knockouts; During his career, he captured the NBA Flyweight Championship of the World, the EBU Flyweight Championship of Europe, the  BBBC Flyweight Championship of Great Britain and the Flyweight Championship of Scotland

Benny defeated such men as Jackie Brown, Peter Kane, Jackie Jurich, Eric Jones, Valentin Angelmann, Len Hampston, Pat Palmer, Bert Kirby, Mickey McGuire and John "Tut" Whalley,

Nat Fleischer ranked Lynch as the #5 All-Time Flyweight; Herb Goldman ranked him as the #6 All-Time Flyweight; He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1998
