Depends on which era they fight in. Back then, Gans wins; modern, Whitaker takes it.

A scenario in which Gans is born a century or so later and they meet in their primes? It would be a great fight; I think Gans would hit harder that Whitaker and would take a late-round TKO.

But I sure wouldn't bet the house on it. Whitaker could win a decision. Let me give Gans a 6-5 edge in odds and leave it at that.
