well thats ok. mark won the rematch although box rec reports anderson may have been poisoned.

nobody knows how many of marks fights were fixed. judging by his over all skill i would think it was only the fights he won.

Tim Anderson is an interesting figure. To get to the point quickly, he murdered in 1995 fight promoter Elvis Parks who was fixing fights. Anderson refused to be part of such a deal. That’s why Parks poisoned him and made him sick. When Anderson discovered he was poisoned he’d ask Parks to tell him what the poison was. He refused to tell so Anderson shot him. Anderson was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Today there are many people who feel Andersons punishment is too hard. I could not figure out why "Doc" did not kill this guy with his bare hands if he was a professional fighter.

Going from memory at the time of the shooting Doc was still very ill from the poisioning, unsteady on his feet, feeling very weak and dizzy spells, lost a lot of weight etc etc.

Maybe he had lost confidence in his own physical abilities at this point?

Four years before Anderson fought Holmes and Gastineau, he fought Pierre Coetzer. When you look at that fight it’s hard to believe that this is the same Tim Anderson…

The first time I saw Tim Anderson was when Holmes KOed him in one very one-sided round. After such fight you don’t have a very high opinion about Tim Anderson as a boxer. Most boxing fans will see him as incompetent, a nobody. It’s obvious that he’s not of the same class as Holmes. But that shouldn’t mean he’s worth nothing. I just saw his fight with Mark Gastineau again and I noticed Anderson had many qualities a good pro should have. The reason why Gastineau didn’t make it as a pro.

Here are some more articles, especially about Elvis Parker. He must have been a great guy. Look:

''Parker, 38, once paid $5,000 to buy a German dog for a friend.

WOW!

But will a jury buy the young boxer in the role of the good guy?

Prosecutors call the Parker shooting one of the most torturous they've seen. Anderson - who had made his living punching more than two dozen men senseless - methodically shot a writhing Parker six times, starting at the knee and working his way up his body, including his penis, prosecutors said.

Then he reloaded and shot him twice more.

His star defense witness?

The dead man's sister.
I suppose that when you are going to shoot a guy that won’t tell you what he poisoned you with, you do it the way Anderson did. You do it methodically, unless he tells…
