I don't think this one has been discussed but I think it would make for a real cracker. I think maybe Toney's chin and defense would see him whether the early assault to KO Gerald mid to late rds, what a fight though.

Toney at his best is a tough nut to crack. Maybe the question should be framed what middle/LHs could beat Toney.

Probably quite a few. Probably the McCallum fights 1 and 2 are good markers, a draw and majority win. I really don't know much about Toney, but I think his defense is overrated because he's a counterpuncher, and of course the best defense is a good offense.

Probably Monzon/Hagler outbox him. He'd have a chance against the older middle version of Robinson, and Hopkins would be a good fight.

Don't know much about McClellan, but on paper it seems like he might throw himself out in later rounds, ahead on the cards which gives Toney opportunities.

Too many LHs to mention could beat him, but again, a tough nut to crack. Tarver would've been a good fight though.
