One organisation, one rule, one champ per weight and a model of matching fights based on either good style matchups or meaningful fights in terms of the various weight classes.

There's a lot to like.

But I miss pride...if only for the presentation and the crazy lady announcer.

Oh 100% agree - She was amazing.

And being a barbarian, soccer kicks and face stomps are an attractive finisher.

I always watch the Best of Pride on ESPN 2 and sigh in nostalgic violent delight.

Yup, the finishes were excellent. The UFC's too trad to hire that lady, but I wish someone would.
