If memory serves, Wills dropped him with a right to the jaw in the second round.

I found a clipping. I was only half right. Wills decked him in the 2nd round, but with a left to the jaw, not a right. LA Times A.P. Night Wire Report, "Fight by Rounds." September 12, 1924, p.B2.
