Does anyone know anything at all about this fighter?

Not much except that he was an "Armory" fighter, which was sort of a separate market or league for fighters -- the Armory bouts at the time Green was fighting were not controlled by the State Commission, but by the National Guard. Armory fighters fought nearly every week. Interestingly, their kayo ratio is usually low -- Green for example only 8 of 70 bouts -- I attribute this to the fighters not placing much importance on kayos but rather on activity -- and making sure you could fight the next week!

Boxing became very popular after WW I, influenced by the Inter-Allied and AEF tournament. The Armory bouts developed at the same time (1919-1920) as the Walker law on parallel tracks.
