Great stuff on both Mando's
Thanks Frank,
You're my inspiration![]()
Hope you're feeling well!
damn...that program really brought back the memories of that fight. why i never saved mine i don't know.
seems that i have seen that fight advertised on tape...but ... i have never caught up with it. saw the fight live at the coliseum but never saw it again. still never forgot the stoppage or mando leaving on a stretcher. i was in shock that nite as were a lot of ramos fans...it was a while before we learned the circumstances.

Mando called me night before last and he said he is in so much pain at the moment from that new back injury he can't walk far and that he probably won't be attending Mike Quarry's funeral.

frank,
great photo of mando and ismael. i have the tape of that fight and mando was in that fight all the way but the cuts got to him...man... if mando was around today i doubt even he could blow all the dough he would make. he was like a matinee idol in L.A.

I spoke with Mando Tuesday evening and as we all know he is battling that bad back pain, but he seemed to be in good spirits.

It is a DVD that Mando sent me that has interviews with Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, Carlos Palomino, Bobby Chacon, and many others.Originally Posted by theironbar
I never heard of the one Baltazar is talking about.
BTW; Mr. Baltazar should refrain from insulting the former 2 time Lightweight Champion of the World about his current weight as Mando could still put him on ice in about 10 seconds, bad back or no bad back.

There you go again getting all bend out of shape b/c somebody (Me) said something about Mando Ramos.
First of all I was't insuiting Mando , I simply said that he was heavy which he is, saying that was no disrespect to Mando and I don't give a shit what you think.
And you saying that Mando would put me on ice show me that you haven't grown up.
