Jose "Nino" Ribalta.
BTW, Tyson is full of it or delusional if he thinks he ever broke Ribalta's spirit. Ribalta came to fight and tried hard. He got dropped several times but always got up and kept trying. He was just outgunned though.
I actually believe that opponent was Alonzo Ratliff, not Nino Ribalta.
i go with ribalta also. could be wrong but it does not look to me like ratlif.

Trust me, it's Ribalta. I'd recognize that great stare-down anytime. He probably stared Tyson down better than anyone. Boy did he look mean and serious.
Thats Ribalta, no doubt about it.
That is unquestionably El Nino, Jose Ribalta! For a start he has Ribalta's face, which is a give away. Secondly that's a clip from the Mike Tyson-Jose Ribalta fight, which I'm sure many of us have.
I recall the ref stopping the fight with about a minute to go, simply to give Tyson the stoppage. Rudy Battle was it? Terribe for Jose. The exact same thing happened to Carl Williams over here against Frank Bruno.
I understand you guys seem to be fans of Ribalta, but let's be honest. That was one of the most severe beatings Tyson ever dealt out.
