    The closest to Marciano's physique??

Marciano was very well muscled but not muscle bound like some bodybuilders who I've seen hit the heavy bag (or try to). I would say the closest physique I have seen since his passing was European champ Jose Urtain back in the seventies. I am not saying Urtain had 10% of his talent, just a physical resemblance. Can anyone think of anyone else who resembles the rock in physique?

Does he have to be a heavyweight?
(Marciano weighed only about 183 lbs of course).
I would say the middleweights Carmen Basilio and from Argentina
    Juan Domingo Roldan.
They both were rangier in the limbs then Marciano of course.
Tony Galento was about 5 ft 10 inches tall, but weight about 235 lbs.
If he had shed some 40 ibs,no telling how ripped he may have looked.

Galento could have lost 100 pounds and never would look "ripped"...

Actually I think Galento was maybe really 5 ft 8 inches 235 lbs.
His tremendous calves and thighs no doubt a result of lugging up
all those ice blocks up the stairways over the years in the tenement buildings
    in Orange ,NJ.

I cant really think of another boxer with the same build as Marciano.
One person who always sort of reminded me of Rocky Marciano,
was former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Mike Henry,
who played Tarzan in several movies in the 1960's.
He was 6 feet 3 inches tall tho.

Here is some more footage of Mike Henry in action doing some fisticuffs.
Did you know(according to IMDB) in early 1966, when ABC-TV was developing the television show
BATMAN ,originally the show was suppose to be a serious show not camp,
and Mike Henry was considered for the lead role.
Its not know if he was fitted for the Batman costume or any photos taken.

actor Robert Conrad(Wild Wild West),was a professional boxer at one time
    briefly in 1962.(ring record, 4-0-1
His physique was probably more Mike Henry-esque then Marciano-esque.
height 5 ft 8 inches tall.
I just remember he had his shirt off a lot of times in Wild Wild West.

BTW that bio on flicker is incorrect
    according to imdb.
Robert Conrad was born in 1929 which would have made him 65 years old in 1994.Probbably had that photo taken on his birthday to show the world.

At the time the picture was taken Conrad's birth year was still listed as 1935. It wasn't until the 2003 court case when he drove into another car when drunk that his true birth year was disclosed.
