Minter. He was an outstanding boxer at his peak. Slick, fast, smart. And a southpaw to boot.

To tell the truth, I never thought Hagler would beat him so easily and question if that would happen that way had Alan stuck to his game plan. Minter also had an easy time with Vito Antuofermo, who gave Hagler problems for 15 rounds in their first fight.

Barkley's weakness as a boxer compared with Minter is his problem here. I cannot see him in a million years landing a home run on Minter as he did in Hearns #1. However, his durability will make Alan come with his A-game stamina or the Englishman would THEN be in for a long night.

Iran sure did not look comfortable with the southpaw Maske & wasn't that the first lefthander he'd faced? What a horrible choice to try and solve, especially at that stage of the game. but that Barkley would sign to fight anyone anytime.

I like the southpaw Minter as well. What's the over under on cuts on this one?
