I am in need of research assistance.

I am looking for a primary source newspaper report for the Jack Johnson vs. Ben Taylor boxing bout that took place on or about July 31, 1908 in Plymouth, England.

Can you locate any local or semi-local next day August 1, 1908 (or soon thereafter) report on the bout? Such as the local Western Evening Herald or any nearby newspaper, or the London Sporting Life?

page 297..
Jack Johnson vrs Ben Taylor was filmed.
The date next to it is,July.31.1908 UK
However that may be the copyright date.

Yup. The fight actually took place on Friday, July 31, 1908. I confirmed it with the London Sporting Life, which had a reporter on the scene.
