Sky says no to Vitali-Haye Pay-Per-View fight

Sky says no to Vitali-Haye Pay-Per-View fight
    March 30th, 2012
By William Mackay: SKY Sports has reportedly turned down the idea of a pay per view fight between former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and Vitali Klitschko for the summer, according to the Telegraph. Vitaliís manager Bernd Boete spoke with Sky about the idea of putting the Klitschko-Haye fight on PPV but there wasnít much interest from Sky in putting that fight on.

It looks like Vitali has made it clear to his manager Boente that he wants the Haye fight because Boente was saying that the Haye fight wouldnít happen at the post fight press conference after Vitaliís recent win over Dereck Chisora last month.
It looks like Vitali and Haye will have to go in another direction if they want to show the Haye vs Vitali fight in the UK. Haye obviously hasnít helped himself by staying inactive since his last fight, a loss to Wladimir Klitschko, last July. Haye was also involed with a brawl with Chisora after the Vitali fight and thereís big questions as to whether Haye will be able to get his boxing license back from the British Boxing Board of Control, and whether the WBC will sanction a Vitali-Haye fight. Vitali has a lot of pull, however, and if he really wants the Haye fight then heíll likely get it.

SKY pulled the plug all ALL Boxing PPV events about 6 months ago.

And Sky pulled pay per view BECAUSE of David Haye! His fights stunk so bad - Valuev, Harrison, Klitschko - for a pricey 15 quid per time (nearly $30) that he single handedly destroyed the whole business for them.

This is brilliant news from Sky, no matter what David Haye promises, we all know come fight time he will run from Vitali and throw 10 punches per round tops. He's no fighter and should not be allowed to con the British public again. I hope this result communicates to David Haye how sickened we all are with his disgusting act.

Haye has essentially shot himself in the foot - or broken his little toe, whatever.
