At least the terrible injustices that have been heaped upon Ron Lipton are slowly, surely being reversed now. Much luck on your "comeback", Ron!

Re: Ron Lipton Is Back In The Ring As Referee- Watch Live

I am so proud and happy to know you gentleman watched the fight and thank you so much for you good wishes. I was told I did a consummate job and that I was in very good shape with a waist in that ring tonight like Emile Griffith (Smile.) I came into that ring at 154lbs ripped, shredded and as fast on my feet as it gets. I was happy NYSAC was pleased with my job and that my son was there to see me back too.

I trained hard to do a good job and it was as if I never left that ring. Inside the ring tonight it felt perfect for me.

    thanks again,
    Ronnie

I remember reading about you for the first time on this board when I was just a lurker here and posting on another board. That was almost ten years ago!!!

I know it has been a long road for you.

Thank you to you and Gary for writing that.

I weighed 164lb of solid muscle before this assignment. When I got the assignment within a week I dropped down to 154lbs of ripped muscle to referee this assignment not knowing how many bouts or what fight I would get. I just trained hard so I could move like lightning again on my feet and worked on my reflexes studying boxing tapes all day. I teach the rules in my boxing class so I know them all the time.

When I got into the ring with two 130lb pro boxers, I could time their movements and felt like my reflexes were faster than theirs, so I felt good and was told I refereed the bout well, so I am content that all were happy especially the NYSAC.

    Best,
    Ron
