One of my all time heroes. Thanks for posting this, Michael. My father regaled me with stories about "The Kid" when I was young. People forget but for a period of
about a year & a half Jackie was considered the best P4P fighter in the world. In my book, he & Ted "Kid" Lewis are my favorite Brit fighters.

In the film The Krays (1990) near the start when Ronnie and Reggie are fighting each other in the Boxing Booth if you look carefully you can see an old Jack 'Kid' Berg sat ringside (next to the hulking unlicensed fighter Lenny McLean).
