Re: Is Voter Fraud A Fraud?

The main arg here is over ID to vote. I simply dont think that that is undue burden to put on people. I dont need to prove it needs to be done - its an opinion, one shared by most people in the country.

You keep saying we're wrong. Prove your point!. >>>>>

You prove yours because to me Im the one with "well reasoned points made to you & you have not had one coherent, realistic, response" Its called a difference of opinion

I think its time to go back to the boxing section for me

Have you actually for instance read what Michael Frank wrote? If you did you would see that your arguments are completely indefensible. I doubt if you actually read it, probably just skipped over anything that might possibly educate you or disagree with you; know matter how cogent.

jlupi---I have a question...a very legit...and it really does have a connection to the voting id laws! So you see the voting id laws as not a burden to people...my question is this...Back when Katrina hit New Orleans did you feel that the people who stayed had it coming for not leaving, or what...I'll tell you my position after you answer!

You know what. I think it's time we STOP piling on Jilupi. We're all entitled to our own opinions & I realize this is just going around in circles. I don't agree at all with Jilupi but this IS America & he has a perfect right to his beliefs. Also at this point we're just giving him the"the business" unfairly.

He does have the right to disagree. Plus he is a good guy & a solid contributing poster for this board. Not to mention he DOES know his boxing...

Anyway, it does seem this thread has run it's course & as Paul McCartney once sang, it's time to "Let It Be"...

I am starting to feel the weight. LOL

Funny thing is I can have political discussions w just about anyone. And do regularly in my practice, usually a big no no.

When typing the emotions are not easily conveyed so fights happen much more easily.

Just out of interest, jlupi what do you practice?

And this is not the start of some smart-arse rant or anything (I save those for real life), just curious.

Re: Is Voter Fraud A Fraud?

Guys...I can completely understand why a rich person would vote republican, a rich person and perhaps a white racist, but anyone else just blows my mind! I know a lot of people vote a certain way because that is the way that their family and father voted, but if you actually go through the congressional website and look over the history of votes and the voting records of the house and senate then it is clear what parties vote for what...I just have never understood how a working-class individual could possibly vote gop! The area where I live is full of gop members, but few are really rich...most are church people, which I don't get that connection either!

jlupi--With you being a chiropractor I can completely see why you vote gop...you no doubt make a good living and if you make into the six figures then the gop is certainly the party that would cater to you and others making a lot of cash...I just don't understand why some, I'm not saying you, but I don't get why some people who are really rich would not choose to be more giving than selfish...again, I am not talking about you...I'm talking about people that make a lot of money and then do everything they can to keep from paying taxes. I am poor, but I would still, happily dish out and extra $10, or even $20 a payday if that would help every single person in America get health care!

Barry let it go. Thread has run its course, we've all made our points. Like I said earlier it's time to let it be. All were doing now is repeating ourselves. & there's no need to continue & get people pissed off at each other.

Re: Is Voter Fraud A Fraud?

Barry I didn't say you were attacking him You are always so overly sensitive. re-read it I just said we were all repeating ourselves & the thread has run it's course. Look up at my title. It's managing editor . I edit. Jlupi's right you are always overreacting to every perceived slight. You did that last time on the old timer's thread & went off in a snit til you just came back recently. Your the only one getting angry here...

Look, I like you Barry. Your one of the most knowledgeable boxing guys I know. I also know that you've been through some really tough times. But lighten up a little. Nobody is on your case, I was just suggesting that we had all said all that needed to be said on this.

Repetition is boring. We've all made our points & NOBODY is gonna change anybody's mind.
