I have heard he has a cafe. There will also be a movie on his life story next year. It looks like he has lost a lot of weight. Does any one have anything else to add?

I do not think he dropped off the face of the earth. any news
Duran was scheduled to appear for induction in Tampa at last June's FBHOF weekend. Due to a medical procedure he could not fly from Panama. Otherwise he appears to be fine.
The CBZ & I are moving permanently to Panama in a few weeks. I fully intend to look up Duran, perhaps do an interview. I speak fluent Spanish so language won't be a problem. Btw: Though I'm shifting my base of operations to Panama, the CBZ will continue as always. In fact there will be no changes at all.

Are you serious Gor -- what's up with the move?

I'll post a formal announcement this weekend & explain everything. & Mr. Big, your welcome to come! You've always been one of my fave posters along with Ironbar. The reason? You guys have never busted my balls or complained about anything here...
GorDoom
LOL! I am usual the object of ball busting!
Well that's a big move -- you'll also have to check in on Ismael Laguna! I think they have a good boxing community in Panama and a few of the guys I know there say the retired boxers go to all the fight cards.
The town Im moving to, Boquete, has regular Sat night fights 2 times a month. I'll probably end up working corners like I do here. & yeah I'm gonna try & find Laguna. also.
Ismael is forgotten today but if there hadn't been a Duran he would be known as the greatest fighter from Panama.

Agreed . . . but nevertheless, a big if![]()
