Backlash Over Police Shootings In California

There was a pretty nasty police beating of a homeless man there, Kelly Thomas (in Fullerton, not long ago), it was horribly violent, and the guy had done nothing wrong.

The owner of a bar there was angry that Thomas, who'd been around there many times before, was hanging around the parking lot. So he had his bouncer call 911 and lie to the cops, and say Thomas was committing some sort of wrongdoing, like breaking into cars or something. The cops came and beat him savagely, disfiguring him. Those cops are, or will be, on trial for this. Possibly the bar owner and bouncer, too. It's a very big case there presently.
