Some pics of Bunny Sterling, one of my favourite middles from the 70s
That site has a lot of good pictures of the BRitish fighters from around that era...lots of Conteh, Buchanan, Minter, Finnegan brothers and some Stracey, Hope and Walter McGowan as well.
Damn link doesn't seem to be working when i clicked on it to check and is just taking me to the homepage, but just type in the names if interested

Ernie Roderick said "he's really just a slapper, I'll beat him in the re-match," it never happened of course. Ernie Roderick was 1 of 'only' 4 fighters that took Armstrong to task (15 rnds), during Henry's 3 World title reign. Roderick was a 1st class beautiful boxer and along with Ted kid Lewis & Jackie Berg is Britain's finest welterweight...
kikibalt.
Great work as always, many thanks.
I saw 'Sibbo' about 12 months ago at an amateur card down the road at Loughborough Town Hall. He gave out the awards at the end of the night. He was a few pounds over his old fighting weight but he always did like his food and a beer. Looked happy and healthy though and still looked like he could break you in half with that left hook of his.Originally Posted by kikibalt

Jack Forster a noted British MW - McAvoy stated "he was the hardest fight I ever had," yet Forster barely broke the British top 10, little own any memorable worth...
there must have been some tremendous fighters over the years to have grace the squared circle!
