Jesse Flores was a Lightweight contender during the late 1940s, unsuccessfully challenging Ike Williams for the World Lightweight in 1949, when he was stopped in 11 rounds in New York City. He had a brother, Joe Borjon Flores, who also boxed professionally in the Bay Area and California Central Valley.

Fuentes boxed as "Chuck Moody" early in his career, before fighting under his real name Ramon Fuentes. During the early portions of his career, it was reported in the Los Angeles Times that he worked as a gravedigger. He had a brother, Jesse Fuentes, who also boxed as a main event Middleweight during the 1950s. At various times, Fuentes was a ranked a contender in the Welterweight division during the mid-1950s.

Costello Cruz, a Mexican-American, was a Middleweight and Light Heavyweight contender during the early-to-mid 1940s, with his career being halted by his service in World War II. Cruz had a succesful amateur career in which he won all 67 of his bouts. Cruz was known for his sudden switch between orthodox and southpaw stances, which he often punctuated with powerful uppercuts or left hooks. Two of Cruz's most impressive victories, came against Joe Kahut in Portland, stopping him on cuts and easily decisioning him in a rematch.
Cruz was also reported to have had a few fights in Texas with Heavyweights in 1946, prior to his rematch with Joe Kahut. His brother Rudy Cruz was also a Lightweight contender during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Cruz became an official with the California State Athletic Commission after his retirement, before succumbing to cancer in 1959.
