    The best fantasy fight!!!

Guys, out of all the possible fantasy matches, what would be the dream fight or you alltime request. I'm going for either Dempsey V Marciano for the opure savagery and action and then Louis V Ali. This because of the importance in ranking the greatest fighter ever. Any thoughts or picks?

Outside of the heavies, I would have loved to see Toney V Hagler or Hagler V Robinson or Monzon

    Duran Vs Chavez
    Robinson Vs Leonard

    Armstrong-Pryor

Armstrong pressing forward. I see Pyror trying to make a boxing match out it. Dancing and trying the jab on the shorter and smaller Armstrong, but Hank puts on too much pressure and forces Aaron to stand and trade.

The exchanges would be Disney. Both can handle the others power. I really cannot pick one but I will. Pryor because he may win more early rounds before the war.

    Duran-Robinson @147

The two most skilled fighters of all-time. What can one say about these two fighters. Duran forward agression, but with subtle inside moves is very hard to hit. Power in both hands, good hand speed, and evil. I love it.

Robbie. Boxing's reigning lord. Awesome hand speed and power. No peer in the footwork and timing department. See Fullmer II. A boxing cutie, and a boxng monster.

I see Robinson coming into the fight viewing Duran as simply a bull that the matador will have to figure and destroy. He will find a bull, yes, but he will find a bull that is hard to hit, in other words a bull and a matador. There are none other like Duran. Duran will get close to Robinson and fire at will to the body. Robinson likes to tie up fighter that press him, but the Duran from the first Leonard bout will be unclinchable, unagreeable.

Robinson will have to fight inside to get Duran off of him. Robinson can, but he cannot do it for extended stretches, and he will not. Robinson loses the early rounds because he will not be able to time Duran movements.

As the fight get deeper Robinson starts to move a bit better and starts find Duran a bit better. I say that Robinson takes Duran down into deep waters and drowns him in about the 12th.

I believe Duran gives Robbie the fight of his life, but Robinson ability punch hard going backwards and his timing are enough to frustrate, hurt, and finish Duran. IMO.

Think Trilla in Manilla, but on the highest skill level imaginable.

No welter would ever have to force Pryor to trade. That's what he did best.

No welter is going to KO Duran in the 12th. Maybe a Hearns might get lucky with a HR in the first few rounds, but prime Duran is more likely to get Hearns first.

I'd pick Robbie over Duran in a close decision. Robby would not be intimidated like Leonard was. Pryor/Armstrong is a tougher choice, but if anyone is KOed, it'd be Armstrong, so Pryor is where I'd put my money if forced to bet.

Me too. A lesser-chinned fighter with Tony's style would be crushed by Hank.. My guess is Tony's own power and his unbelievable chin and great strength allow him to give and take with Hank and beat him.

    Re: The best fantasy fight!!!

I'd bet on Pryor to beat Armstrong. He was a little better in the chin and toughness department. Ray Robinson I think may take Duran out at Welter.
He was a notch above Leonard, who gave Duran a little too much respect.

Here's a few more tasty ones:

    Lewis V Bowe 1992
    Lewis 1992 v Tyson 1988
Foreman of the 70's V any heavyweight would be great.
    Bob Foster V Dwight Braxton
    Leon Spinks V Bob Foster

    Ali vs. Louis, Marciano, Dempsey

I'd also like to have seen Sonny Liston vs. Larry Holmes as well as as a contestant in the WBA Heavyweight tournament in the 60's.

Dick Tiger and Carlos Monzon and Monzon vs. Hagler.

Finally, I'd like a match up with the real Sugar Ray against SRL. I'd take Mr. Robinson in a late stoppage.
