Creating A Boxing Tape Trading Forum

Hello I know a lot of people here on the cbz like to trade or buy boxing dvds but boxing traders are usually scattered all over the web without one sole website dedicated to tape trading here is my suggestion I was considering on creating a forum for tape trading and selling only with help from any members willing to help create a forum.

I would like to know if pepople see this as a good idea and would join. I am thinking about creating one for the following reasons.

    1. Boxing Tape Traders are scattered all over the net and don't have one site or forum were it is 100% dedicated to tape trading.

    2. Rare fights might emerge.

    3. We might be able to get tape collectors from all over the world to join africa, mexico, south america etc.

    4. We could borrow ideas from a wrestling tape trading forum i frequent which has a good and bad traders section.

    5. My main reason is so people don't have to pay $25 - $35 for a dvd.

It's just an idea right now but I believe most boxing traders would like a website or forum dedicated to boxing trading only. I know we have places like cbz which I love and boxing times classified section but I believe most traders would love to join one site dedicated to tape trading.

    what's your opinion cbz members?

$25-35 for a dvd is not unreasonable... if you want cheaper fights you have many options available to you.

Good Point $25- $35 isn't unreasonable for some people, I have bought a couple dvds. 25 to 35 bucks is reasonable if the fights are worth it. The main reason for creating the trading forum is for people who would like to trade. But their would also be a selling section for
sellers to sell and buyers to rate the quality of the video, price and customer satisfaction.

I think that is a great idea and would be interested in joining.

They are a lot of websites where you can download fights but I still prefer trading DVDs.

Let me explain I don't want to get people to leave cbz as it is one of the best sites to discuss boxing and everything related to boxing the main reason for creating the tape trading forum would be to have one site dedicated for tape trading.

Re: Creating A Boxing Tape Trading Forum

    I think it's a good idea.

I don't mind paying for fights if the quality is very good to excellent (evander has GREAT quality fights) but I prefer to trade as it establishes a relation with fellow enthusiasts and is much easier on the wallet.

I also think an advantage of a dedicated site would be to ensure that all members were genuine traders. I was recently badly burnt in a trade, as I'm sure many here have been, and at least bad traders could be "outed" as it were.

(BTW if anyone is interested in trading with me I have over 2000 fights mainly from 70's & 80's. Send me a PM with your email address & I'll send you my list).
