I think Corrales as a handful of good fights left, he just needs to figure out how to box intelligently & fill out properly at 147 or get down to 140.
Clottey could not have been a worse matchup for Corrales. Either he or his management is so full of the fact he was going to gain so much power by moving up that they completely disregarded Corrales' need to adjust to the weight properly. Corrales may be tall but he is not what you call a naturally big man, he has an extremely narrow frame. Some sort of a tune up fight would have served him very well.
Clottey has all the traits of someone who has shown to give Corrales problems in the past & would always give him a hard time despite the weight class differences.
Most importantly, Corrales fought Clottey with the dumbest possible gameplan. I can't believe no one had the presence of mind to adjust early in the fight. Corrales was so preoccupied with the thought of having some power that he disregarded the fact he was still the taller man. It's apparent he made a terrible mistake in ditching Goosen.
