Say what you want about him not living up to the hype in the Gavilan fight (though Gavilan being an all time Great might have had SOMETHING to do with it....), but I think he absolutely takes Gatti to town.

Chuck Davey Beat Carmen Basilo, Ike WIlliams and Rocky Graziano regardless if they were either before, after or well after thier Primes, He still beat these guys (Williams claim he threw the bout is up for debate).

Arturo Gatti's biggest wins are Gabe Ruelas, Mickey Ward and Jesse James Leija.

It's not quite apples to apples here.

Weight difference alone, competition beaten not withstanding, I think this is a one sided bout.

Davey fell short of extremely high expectations, but let's be serious here, he's a good level above the Arturo Gatti's of the world and he'd take Arturo to town in a p4p sense, to say nothing of the massacre that would ensue at 147.
