i have those fights also and saw them all live. i have been in contact with ernies son lance and am pretty sure that is all that exists of his fight career on tape which is too bad.

i do sometimes wonder if the stracey fight is available in england but that was just another late career loss. ernie was a better fighter than his existing catalogue would attest to.

I was alao at the sports arena that night. I went with my father and grandfather, it's a great memory.

Like you I don't think Ernie gets his proper due. He was much better than is generally thought an would be a rough night for just about any welterweight.

yeah. strange recording of that fight at the sports arena. i also have the main event from that night on tape without sound.

did you ever read the open book remarks in boxrec on ernies last fight in '87 ? some friend jimmy heair was !
