Hopkins will stink his way to a Pavlik decision. If Taylor found a way to stay out of harms way of the right hand in their rematch, landing it on BHop will be even tougher. Besides, Hopkins does not throw enough punches to knock Pavlik down & let alone keep him there.
I see Pavlik winning a similar fight to that of Calzaghe. Maybe a flash KD happens but no real danger of losing.

Dan Jacobs got an easy and quick KO over an overmatched opponent.
MA Rubio defeated Ornelas on a split. Fight was so-so. Not bad, but not great. Both had some nice punches, but they didn't keep up enough of a consistent work rate. When they did get going, it was fun. Ornelas was actually the sharper puncher, especially early, but he backed off. MA Rubio finished better, puffing Ornelas' eye and hurting him in the 11th.

Zale never did it to Cerdan. Not to get off topic, but base on the film and pre fight build up leading to it.(I only missing 1 or 2 rounds of there fight) I belive both were pretty much gents leading up to it. No smack talk, no bragging ete.
Cerdan even said if he wins, He hope to lived up to Zale as a champion. And it would be a honor to fight him.
After there pre fight speech, they even shake hands.
that pic is why i hate bhop. he calls himself the executioner and tries to intimidate..... and then the fight starts and its safety first. i hope this is truly the end of this bullshit artist.

WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano (36-1-1, 15 KOs) retained his title with a relatively uneventful unanimous decision over previously unbeaten challenger Billy Dib (21-1, 11 KOs). Scores were 116-112, 115-113, 117-111.
In a WBC middleweight eliminator, Marco Antonio Rubio (43-4-1, 37 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over Enrique Ornelas (28-5, 18 KOs). A late rally put Rubio over the top on two cards 115-113 116-112, while Ornelas prevailed 115-113 on the third card.
Unbeaten super middleweight prospect Daniel Jacobs (11-0, 10 KOs) needed just 2:29 to annihilate Tyrone Watson (7-6, 3 KOs).
Unbeaten junior middleweight contender Yuri Foreman (26-0, 8 KOs) boxed his way to a workmanlike ten round shutout over Vinroy Barrett (22-7, 11 KOs). Scores were 100-90.
Danny Garcia (8-0, 7 KOs) dropped Deon Nash (5-6, 1 KO) twice in round three and got the stoppage at 2:14 of the same stanza.
Qa'id Muhammad (3-0, 3 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Samuel Gutierrez (3-4). Time was 2:29.

Round One
They start off by trading jabs. Hopkins lands a right to the body followed by a left of the body. Hopkins lands another right to the body and follows it up with a nice jab. Pavlik lands a right hand. Hopkins round.
Much as I like Pavlik and dislike Hopkins, I think that Hopkins will win this fight. He's hard to dent, and Pavlik depends on being able to dent his opponents to keep them honest.
But I hope that I'm wrong.
Round Two
Overhand right lands for Hopkins to start the round. Nice lead left hook connects for Hopkins. Pavlik backs Hopkins to the ropes but follow-up doesn't land. Hopkins lands an uppercut. Pavlik lands a left hand to end the round. Hopkins' round.
Round Three
Pavlik is busy to begin the round. Gets Hopkins on the ropes but again lands nothing. Right hand lands for Hopkins. Hopkins lands a combination in close. Pavlik coming forward, lands a left hook. Hopkins is getting off first and Pavlik is not busy enough. Hopkins' round once again.
Round Four
They trade jabs at the start of the round. Both fighters fighting dirty this round, Pavlik trying to match Hopkins. Pavlik applying pressure but not landing much of anything. Hopkins lands a left hook. Boring but close round. Hopkins' round, but closer.
Round Five
Pavlik lands a snapping jab, Hopkins responds with a left hook. Overhand right connects for Hopkins. Hopkins lands a left and a right, he's simply getting off first. Hopkins is teeing off in this round, Hopkins' hands are much faster. Pavlik lands a jab and a left to the body. Hopkins' round yet again.
Round Six
Right hand to the body by Pavlik. Pavlik seems only able to land when he has Hopkins on the ropes. Straight right snaps Pavlik's head back. Another straight right lands for Hopkins. Pavlik is outworking Hopkins this round but is not throwing nearly enough punches. Hopkins' round.
Round Seven
They stand and trade to begin the round but the flashier punches are landed by Hopkins. Not much action this round. Hopkins doing his best to avoid Pavlik. Hopkins get to the middle of the ring and peppers Pavlik with combinations, many of the punches landing clean. Hopkins' round.
Round Eight
Hopkins lands a left hook and a straight right hand. Pavlik is throwing but just can't seem to land clean. Pavlik lands a straight right hand. Esteves warns Pavlik for holding and hitting, HBO commentators are saying that Esteves took away a point but it seemed like a warning to me. Hopkins' round once again.
Round Nine
They trade right hands to start the round, Hopkins' looks cleaner. Pavlik lands a left hook. Right hand to the body lands for Pavlik. Pavlik more active this round and is landing more, although not hurting Hopkins at all. Esteves takes a point away from Hopkins for holding. Pavlik's round by two points.
Round Ten
Pavlik again is trying to outwork Hopkins but is unable up to now to hurt him. Pavlik lands a short left hook inside. Hopkins is not flurrying as much now, obviously slowing down. Slow, dull round. Pavlik's round based purely on workrate.
Round Eleven
Crowd is booing, not much action at this point, typical Hopkins fight. Snappy right hand lands for Hopkins. Hopkins is holding a lot at this point in the fight. Boring round, Pavlik is trying but can't do anything at this point. Even round.
Round Twelve
Hopkins opens up and flurries and lands some snappy punches. Hopkins flashing faster hands and toying with Pavlik. Hopkins is trying to finish with a flurry and is flurrying, completely outlanding Pavlik. Hopkins' round, and fight.
The Decision
119-106, 118-108, 117-109
Unanimous decision for Bernard Hopkins

I pretty shock myself. Perhaps the jump in weight was too much for Pavlik.

What the hell happened? Should Kelly have done a bit more charging ala Calzaghe instead of fighting so conservatively?

Hats of to B-Hop, he outslicked, and outclassed Pavlik who looked slower,
and totally befuddled in there!
I really felt Kelly would outwork B-hop as he had faded so badly in his last fight, but Bernard controlled distance, moved away from Kelly's right hand, and countered very well.
The added weight probably slowed him a bit but at 26 it is no excuse!
Who would have thought Bernard would have outspeeded and outworked Pavlik?
