This is a photo of my brother, Luis (on right), with his sister-in-law Ellen and Scott taken at a block party in Glen Ellyn yesterday. Traveling singer Zora Young played at the block party, as she owed David (far right in photo below) a favor. David owns a consulting business and plays with her band when they are in town.

Below, Scott jams with blues singer Zora Young at the block party. They liked his playing so much, they asked him to sit in with them when they play at Luis' restaurant, Cabs Wine Bar Bistro, on July 29th (I believe that's the date).

It was raining quite a bit, so a lot of people listened from garages, sheltered front patios and nearby houses, rather than get wet.

sorry for the large pictures. I tried to edit them, but it took me 3 days to post these. I think I have the same pictures 100 times in 100 different places saved on my computer and I can't find 99 of them. I would also liked to have edited out my ugly mug. hope they come thru. Hey JYoungfan,

Good job! From what I gather, you probably uploaded your digital files onto the photobucket account, which automatically reduces file size to about 250k if they're larger than that. Then, you posted as per the instructions. Very cool stuff!

For future reference, to get them smaller and to upload faster on the screen, you need to resize them ideally under 100k.

Hi JYoungfan,

Yeah, she was pretty and was part of the motivation for snapping the shot. However, she also was with a fighter named Mike Nevitt. I had called out to Nevitt, the guy who was looking up, several times, but he didn't hear me at first. Nevitt fights as a cruiserweight locally and I'd actually reported several of his fights, shot photos of him and talked briefly with him before (see article in which he fought Gathright recently).

Nevitt finally heard me, looked up and didn't recognize me at first, which is when I snapped this photo. Several moments later, he recognized me, smiled and waved. However, I didn't shoot a photo then, as I was up on the ring apron to shoot the results of the decision in a closely fought bout and that decision was about to be announced.

Fun stuff!

Today, I had to have Miles, my greyhound, to sleep, as he was found to have bone cancer.

He was a good friend and companion.

Thanks. Yeah, I adopted him back around 1995. He's been with me a long time.

Ironically, I shot this photo while Miles and I were walking on the frozen lake behind my house and I was talking with Gordoom via my cell phone.

What a great pooch.
