Nick is one of the real good guys in this life in general, and the sport of boxing in particular.

He has always remained well-grounded in spite of his success in broadcasting, has a terrific grasp of boxing and all of its intricacies both in-and-out of the ring, and has been a very good friend to many fighters, long after they ceased being "useful" to the sport and its promoters.
