Alex handled color commentary on last night's boxing show on Colours and did a nice enough job. He tended to get a bit emotional during the action and forget where the camera was while doing on-air interviews with the winners, but that's to be expected of a guy just settling into the job. Hey, his hair is really short and totally gray now. Does that make you feel old? PeteLeo.

Yes Ramos won the JO's that year, an my son Tony also won the JO's that year, Tony was also pick as the outstanding boxer in the tournament.

When Ramos turned pro in 1980, I thought he was a "can't miss" prospect...someone headed for the bigtime. I imagined him eventually having a big bucks showdown with Marvin Hagler, maybe even winning.

But it never happened.

Very good point . I wonder if it ever was in talks for Alex to fight Bobby Czyz or James Shuler, those were good potential matchups.
