Eusebio Pedroza vs. Wilfredo Gomez
I have heard stories that Gomez received similar offers to move up in weight and fight either Sanchez or Pedroza, and he considered Sanchez a safer opponent (given his relative youth and inexperience). Of course we all know what happened. Do you think Bazooka suffers a similar fate against Pedroza circa 1981-1982? Or does he knock off the crafty Panamanian? As a side question, who would be dirtier guy in this fight?!

Re: Eusebio Pedroza vs. Wilfredo Gomez
I will have to cogitate for a while as to who would win - interesting match up, by the way - but unquestionabbly it would be Gomez who would be the dirtier fighter.
In his own way compared to Gomez, Pedroza was less blatant. I think that as the fight went on & Pedroza kept using those educated elblows etc., Gomez would have flipped out & who knows what would have happened? GorDoom |

Yeah, I shudder to think what Wilfredo would do upon getting hit with one of those sneaky bolos to the cojones more than once.

Re: Eusebio Pedroza vs. Wilfredo Gomez
Gomez would start out the fight could, but Pedroza would get him late, around the 8th or 10th round, with stoppage.
