Boxing Returns to the Castle

DENVER, CO – The Castle Nightclub proprietors, Raul Romero and Angel Chacon are proud to announce a series of upcoming boxing events.

The Castle is known for hosting past boxing shows and with the upcoming series of boxing on tap, boxing will continue throughout the year. Kicking off the series of boxing will be the Cinco de Mayo show, Wednesday, May 5th. Monthly shows will continue, taking place on the 2nd. Saturday of June, July and August.

Galloway's Cut KO's Bout with Ian Gardner
Mofford-Muniz to headline in Boston

Boston, MA - According to Mike Nosky of www.realboxing.com, Manning Galloway has pulled out of his scheduled bout with Ian "the Cobra" Gardner tomorrow night at the Roxy in Boston. Galloway suffered a cut during his upset win over Olympian Ricardo Williams last Friday in Cincinatti. A suitable opponent for Gardner couldn't be found in such short notice and now the Billy Mofford-Pepe Muniz clash will be the show's main event. As reported first by the CBZ, Gardner will face WBC Middleweight Youth champion "Bad" Chad Dawson underneath Jimmy Birchfield's ESPN2 Friday Night Fights telecast on May 14th at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. City favorite, unbeaten Peter Manfredo, Jr. faces Anthony Bonsante in the main event that night. CN8, the Comcast Network will tape tomorrow night's show and telelvise it in its entirety on Sunday April 17th at 3:00 P.M.

Levin to face Williams on ShowBox April 15th

WBO No. 9 heavyweight contender Attila "The Hun" Levin (of Pembroke Pines, Florida) will take on Jeremy "Half-Man, Half-Amazing" Williams (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) Thursday, April 15, on SHOWTIME' s "ShoBox: The New Generation" boxing series from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

In the telecast's 10-round co-feature, IBF No. 4 heavyweight contender Jameel "Big Time" McCline (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) will continue his quest toward a world title shot when he battles Wayne Llewellyn (Beckenham, England).
