Ahmed Kaddour special Thursday night guest
WOBURN, Mass. (July 25, 2005) - The bad boy of "The Contender" - Ahmed "Babyface" Kaddour (19-2, 9 KOs) - is a special guest on Thursday night's two-hour New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show - hosted by Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills - airing 6-8 PM/ET on Boston's Boxing Station, The Zone (1510 AM). Kaddour, 23, lost a pair of five-round decisions during "The Contender" reality television series to Ishe Smith and Alfonso Gomez, the only blemishes on Kaddour's 21-fight pro career. Ahmed will talk about his experiences on "The Contender," as well as life in the "real" boxing world, including his high profile manager James Prince. The New England Ringside Radio Network broadcasts boxing shows six nights a week throughout New England.

Hopkins File Appeal with Nevada Commission, WBA
Bernard Hopkins has filed an appeal to the Nevada Athletic Commission for a review and reconsideration of the decision of last Saturday night's middleweight championship bout against Jermain Taylor. Hopkins appeal is based on the rules governing the Nevada Athletic Commission and the scoring of the 12th round for Taylor by veteran judge Duane Ford. In addition Hopkins has sent a letter to the World Boxing Association (WBA) requesting a review of the controversial scoring and an immediate rematch pursuant to the rules of the organization. Hopkins is considering similar appeals to the WBC and IBF.

Duddy-Coleman date change
July 22 in Roseland, IL
NEW YORK CITY (July 13, 2005) – Unbeaten Irish middleweight John Duddy’s (10-0, 9 KOs) next fight, versus veteran Patrick Coleman (29-11, 20 KOs), has been moved back two days to July 22 and moved from 115 Bourbon St. in Chicago to Rosemont, Illinois' Allstate Arena. Duddy-Coleman will fight in an eight-round co-feature on the Bobby Hitz-promoted ESPN2 Friday Night Fights show.
