Of the photo, Scully writes, "I had just got done driving IBF welterweight champ Simon Brown and his then trainer back to Hartford from Springfield one day back in 1989 from a press conference (we were both on the same show)...I didn't even know who his trainer was back then. I just had him in the pic because he was Simon's guy...Small world."

Burchfield named 2008 Italo American Club of RI Man of the Year

The Italo American Club of Rhode Island is proud to announce that Jimmy Burchfield, Sr. is to receive its Man of the Year Award for 2008.
This award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated dedication to humanitarian causes and contributions to the community.
This affair is being held at the Twin River Event Center, 100 River Road, Lincoln, R.I. on September 27, 2008.
The reception starts from 6 to 7pm with 3 pasta stations, cheeses, crackers and assorted fruits.
