This Saturday, December 20th The Little Creek Casino of Shelton, Washington will once again be the site of a world class fight card featuring some of the best up and comers in the game today. The venue has had a stellar year, quickly solidifying its position as the Pacific Northwest’s premier venue for high-level boxing, garnering national attention from the boxing public with multiple televised cards featuring top contenders and future or former world champions. This Saturday’s card will follow suit with a stacked eleven bout card promoted by Goosen Promotions and televised on Showtime Extreme. Four of the eleven scheduled bouts will be televised.

The main event will feature a twelve round match-up for the Interim WBA featherweight title. Argentinean banger Jesus Cuellar (25-1 19KO’s) will defend the title for the fourth time when he takes on Mexico’s Ruben Tamayo (25-4-4 17KOs). Cuellar has been stacking up quality wins in the division, having claimed three straight impressive victories with decisions over both Rico Ramos and Claudio Marrero, and in his most recent outing, an impressive third KO over former pound for pound entrant Juan Manuel Lopez.

His opponent, Ruben Tamayo is a tough contender who hails from the fighter factory that is Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. In his last fight he claimed a technical majority decision victory over California’s Efrain Esquivas.

In the broadcast’s opening bout, knockout artist Julius Jackson (18-0 14KOs), son of legendary former world champion Julian Jackson, will take on Johnathan Nelson (19-1 9KOs) in a ten rounder

Anthony Peterson (34-1 22KOs), brother of current world title holder Lamont Peterson, will look to add his third win of the year in an off-tv fight. The once highly touted contender has scored four straight wins since losing in his world title bid to Brandon Rios four years ago.
