I’m ready to take the next step to my dream of becoming a world champion.” Lawson came into the fight world ranked #12 by the International Boxing Federation.

Stated Michael King of King Sports, Lawson’s promoter, “This was a true cross roads fight for Fredrick and he passed the test with flying colors. The key for him was preparation as it is with all of our fighters, his great training with Abel Sanchez truly paid off.”

“Fredrick is ready for a top ten contender right now and we’re going to get started immediately working on his next fight. We’d also like to thank ESPN for once again giving him another opportunity.”

Prescott moved to 27-7-0 (20KO’s) with the defeat.
