CHICAGO, IL, January 20, 2014 — Bobby Hitz announced that Hitz Boxing has joined forces with Banner Promotions to bring ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” to Hammond, Indiana’s The Venue on Friday, February 28. On that evening Hitz’ wildly popular “Fight Night at the Horseshoe” will kick off its 2014 season at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available at, and The Venue box office.

Chicago based Lithuanian middleweight hopes to fight on national TV again

CHICAGO, IL, September 12, 2013 — Promising Chicago based Lithuanian middleweight Donatas Bondas (17-4-1, 6 KOs) returns to the ring against Rockford’s tough Skylar Thompson (12-7, 10 KOs tomorrow night in Hammond, IN during Hitz Boxing’s “Fight Night at the Horseshoe.” It’s Bondas’ first appearance since his spectacular ESPN “Friday Night Fights” in which he lost to Brian Vera thanks to a controversial stoppage by referee Charlie Fitch, who claimed that Bondas told him he couldn’t see anymore, both Bondas and promoter Bobby Hitz dispute that.

“Donatas impressed everyone in the arena, and at home. He earned a lot of respect that night and would have won had the fight not been stopped,” said Hitz. “Its unfortunate that Fitch decided to hand this fight to Vera with that ridiculous stoppage.
