The fists will be “A Flyin” on this upcoming Thursday, April 29th, at the posh Houston Club located on 811 Rusk St. as former IBA Heavyweight Champion Lou Savarese features an April show in Houston  lighting up the Spring Bayou City skyline with explosive action featuring power punching Light Welterweight Tiffany Junot going for the Texas State Jr. Welterweight title vs former victim, Kita Watkins (5-5) who recently pounded the formidable Rita Figueroa into retirement.  The battle looks to be a pitched one much like the first with Junot’s superior boxing skill and athleticism being the difference.  Junot, (7-2-1, 5 KO’s) is not taking Watkins lightly this time around, and has trained harder, sparred more rounds, and run further for any other fight in her illustrious career thus far.

Also on the card: Undefeated heavyweight Justin Jones (7-0-1, 4 KO’s) and towering Skip Scott (6-1), all 6 feet 8 inches of him, back the line in this powerful card which promises to be action packed and full of bloodletting violence for all of the lucky Houston fight fans that will be in attendance.  Also slated to appear is top ranked Light Heavyweight Chris “Hard Hittin’” Henry’s chief sparring partner, Willie “Dynamite” Edwards (7-1, 2 KO’s) and undefeated Welterweight winger, Gerardo “Tin Tin” Ibarra (7-0, 6 KO’s) who is a dynamic hitter and one prospect to keep an eye out for. Jose Cruz and Mark Blankenship round out the big time fight promotion that will for sure “rock the house” from its very foundations from the 10th floor at the Houston Club that will be filled with volcanic boxing action for the crowd as the days grow warmer for the victors here and the nights grow shorter for the losers. Referee Celestino Ruiz looks on as Russell Fiore (right) devastates Jose Hernandez with a smashing left hook to the chin

CHICAGO — With the media-hyped Fedor Emilianenko vs. Brett Rogers UFC show being held in Hoffman Estates the next day, the UIC Pavilion was not filled to capacity this night. However, the spectators who attended last evening’s Windy City Fight Night 7: Day of Reckoning were treated to an evening of gutsy performances that gave testimony to the heart required to enter the ring. While some of the fighters on the card are still honing their skills, they all came to fight.

After appearing together on the same card on May 29 of this year, also at the UIC Pavilion, 28-year-old Chicagoan Russell Fiore (133 lbs.,  2-0-0, 2KO) faced off against 22-year-old Puerto Rico native Jose Hernandez (132 lbs., 0-1-0) in the opening lightweight bout, scheduled for four rounds.
